You believe in promoting transparency, freedom of information, and digital rights to create a more open and democratic society.
Pirate Politics is a political ideology that originated from the Pirate Party movement, which first emerged in Sweden in 2006. The movement was initially focused on reforming laws regarding copyright and patents. The name "Pirate Party" was chosen to reclaim the term "pirate," which was being used to describe illegal internet file-sharers. The party aimed to reform copyright law, abolish the patent system, and ensure that citizens' rights to privacy were respected.
Over time, the Pirate Party movement has grown and spread to other countries, each with their…

What is more important to you: protecting your digital footprint or enjoying personalized digital services?
@9J6Y28L4mos4MO
protecting my digital footprint is important to me.
@9J6XY5F4mos4MO
Both because I want to enjoy but also protect my digital footprint
@9J6XL2JIndependent4mos4MO
Protecting your digital footprint is easily more important than personalization. If we start prioritizing personalization then we are destroying innovation and openness, and we are making ourselves stay in these echo chambers. If everything we read and see is personal then we will never hear another person's opinion or views. This also ruins empathy since we lose our connection to other people.

Can you describe a time when easier access to information could have helped you make a more informed personal decision?
@9KJMT7ZRepublican 3mos3MO
when I was in school a teacher tought me that barrak obama was the best canidiate hadns down. I wish I knew more about politics at the time becuse this realy confused me when I was a kid. my parents didnt support obama but my teacher did making me distrustfull of teachers
@9KJPGNJ3mos3MO
I can't say for myself, but I'd think it would been useful during a like the Vietnam War.
@9KJN9PC3mos3MO
Having easy access to information helps me understand a topic better and allows me to know what decision I would like to make.
@9KJMTDH3mos3MO
I've always had the internet personally so I don't know.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Share an instance where the free distribution of information online made a positive difference in your life or someone else’s.
@9KJMP8G 3mos3MO
It made a positive difference for information or content I needed but couldn't afford.
@9KJMH353mos3MO
Sci-hub has been beneficial for the development of technology and research globally. I work in R&D.
@9KJM96Z3mos3MO
When I need an opposing opinion and I find something new that changes my view.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How does the idea of governments tracking online behavior make you feel about your own internet use?
@9HW25PJ 5mos5MO
Tracking online behavior can and will stop a number of criminals, but that's all it should be used for. Not for advertising or to make people feel unsafe about their technology.
@9J2K7J65mos5MO
People have the right to be private unless they're trying to find someone who is criminal. If you have not done anything wrong, you should not be watched by them.
@9J2DTBX5mos5MO
Citizens should have a right to privacy. Unless it is in the name of public or national safety, their privacy shouldn't be infringed.
@9HW5NDSIndependent5mos5MO
I do not do anything I shouldn't on the internet but I do not like that someone would be and probably already monitoring everything that I do. It freaks me out how I can be talking about something and then ads start appearing on my personal device soon after I discuss it.
@9HXD3B35mos5MO
They should be some privacy for people on the internet to do as they please, but if specific websites or such that the government does not want people on they should keep an eye on.
@9HVYW6X5mos5MO
That we wont be able to look up anything without them watching.
@9HVYPQL5mos5MO
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
How would you balance the rights of individuals to privacy online with national security concerns?
@9H7TYNQIndependent6mos6MO
I feel like the individual privacy on the internet should be a bigger deal because as time goes on many things starts to transition from real life to internet. Many sensitive stuff is on there and some should not be seen by even the internet provider. But for national security is a tough case maybe for government official they can have the key to the information stored on the computer but maybe not too much.
@9H7TWM76mos6MO
Net neutrality is important, and everyone's privacy online should be protected, even if its piracy, as its a victimless crime.
@9H7TT7LRepublican6mos6MO
I think online privacy is a big deal. Everyone should have access to national online security.
@9H7VV7HConstitution6mos6MO
Child pornagraphy producers should be executed, and hackers should be sent to prison and make social media platforms yeald to the constitution
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Reflect on a time when a lack of internet freedom affected your ability to express yourself or learn.
@9HW7F36 5mos5MO
Any time I want to comment something not on a political agenda comments are turned off
@Fluffysocks099 5mos5MO
There have been many times in which I was not able to research topics adequately due to articles and sources being pay walled.
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
In a digital age, should all information be free, or are there limits to what should be shared?
@9H754XT6mos6MO
Companies are no better than internet pirates. But yes, pirating is wrong and shouldn’t be done.
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Considering the goals of the Pirate Party, what changes, if any, would you like to see in your local government's policy?
I agree wholeheartedly in their goals and think it could be a boon to the general public if they gained more momentum here in America.
@9H5QH6K6mos6MO
I think that it is experiencing a metamorphosis in its way of governing and its management structures.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What is the most radical change you would like to make to internet laws, and what drives your stance on this issue?
@9KJMWMB3mos3MO
no censorship of the people practicing their first amendment god given rights
@9KJMT7ZRepublican 3mos3MO
I just wish people would be more reasanable on the internet, not going to the political extremes making everybody seem terible
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Imagine a world where every internet user contributes to governing it; what rules or systems would you put in place?
I would consider equal representation and promoting transparency in decision making processes protecting the data of our phones and stuff
@9KJCN7M 3mos3MO
Pirating should not be considered a crime; most streaming services are wayyyy too expensive and barely pay their artists a livable wage. Hate speech should be banned. Websites and apps would not be allowed to mine data.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How do the entertainment and media you consume online influence your viewpoints, and what responsibility do creators have in this?
@9KJPGNJ3mos3MO
A piece of media with certain viewpoints may be the only experience a person has to those viewpoints, and so they will tend to agree with what they start to find familiar.
@9KJMTDH3mos3MO
What we see online often determines how we feel about political views. If we see more far right pov of certain political issues we will naturally start to agree with them.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would you feel about voting on important political issues directly through the internet, and why?
@9KJLPYD3mos3MO
Not good. People would be easily influenced by others.
@9KJLHCVWomen’s Equality3mos3MO
This is how it should be. I vote for other countries that I am a citizen of easily over the internet.
