I think the media pushes many people to either the far right or far left, I think that something needs to be done with the algorithms to decrease it.

Centrism in America more often than not is just a form of cowardice. To be a true centrist, you have to not care. For example, if you're neutral on the stance of free education, than you aren't actually providing any real substance.
